I'm a passionate biker who recently arrived to Singapore and have been looking for a bike to buy. I searched for a couple of weeks until yesterday evening I found a good deal at Thornton.

Its website greets you with 'Balance is not something you find, it is something you create', which has a deep meaning that resonated with me. I kept on reading, saw the bike selection, cash-back (so you can easily stock on essentials), cash-rebate, free maintenance (at 6 and 12 months), warranty, service, delivery, Thornton Care to build long-term relationships with its customers, customer reviews, etc. which told me that who is behind this business knows and loves his trade very well, so I had the gut feeling that 'yes, this is it!'.

I immediately went to their store at Queensway and was not disappointed, quite the contrary! Their staff is very kind, helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. Buying the bike and accessories was a breeze. Here you won't find pushy staff trying to sell you what you don't want (which is extremely annoying), quite the opposite. A staff checked that everything was ok with the bike, tuned it, adjusted it to my height, and very kindly installed some of the items I bought, always with great attitude and patience.

At the end I had the pleasure of meeting the owners, husband and wife, and it was clear why this is such a great place to buy and maintain your bike for years to come. They have passion, honesty, and sincere care for their customers. Just a detail to exemplify this: the owner came to me and asked me if I had noticed a very small scratch (I hadn't), so I was sure that I was fully aware before buying and not have bad surprises when I got home. This is honesty and tells me that this is a business I can trust for the long term.

I am very happy with my new bike and look forward to wonderful adventures with her, including a couple of RTIs and maybe even going to Malaysia!

I found this shop by chance when browsing Carousell for a new bike and I am so grateful that I did! I dropped by the store with the intent to just browse. I was overcome by the helpful, knowledgable and honest advice/information provided to me by Mr Roger and his entire team. I walked out with a brand new bike, at the most competitive price on the market, and have been extremely happy with my purchase. As an added bonus, the shop provides on-going servicing and support for the bikes they sell and are genuine about looking after their customers' needs.

I went back for my first service and it was a pleasure to walk into the store - it was like returning to old friends! I will never go anywhere else for all my bike needs.

I just came across this shop and really wanted to buy some accessories and I would like to say I felt very comfortable with my whole experience.

The owner Roger was extremely nice. Basically I was given an orientation of everything there is. And I must say I’m really impressed that there are things available for someone like me who is more cost conscious.

No hard selling, just a really great chat and of course I got something I like at my own price point. I must also say the items there are from reputable brands. There is also a nice work station there to service your bikes. I just asked and there was quite a bit of accessories they have for sale.

By now you think it’s an advertisement. But I’m just a complete stranger to the shop.

Chanced upon this shop when I was shopping at Queensway Shopping Centre. Been looking for a reliable bike shop to repair my foldie and Thornton answered all my questions. Arthur (hope I didn’t get his name wrong) and his boss/associate - Roger were knowledgeable, patient and helpful. Gave us lots of good advice.

Brought in my bike to service by their mechanic and all it took was $30 to fix my bike’s issue whereas I was quoted $100-$300 to replace parts from elsewhere (and from mechanics who couldn’t really explain what was wrong).

10/10 for honesty and helpfulness and I think I will be coming in soon to get a new bike at their shop, because I know if anything fails, they would look into it with their best effort. Thank you so much for the great service, Thornton team!!!

I am a Singaporean living in America. In my recent trip back to Singapore, I saw many people riding folding bikes. I love them and decided to shop around to see if I could bring one home. My husband found Go2Thorton online. We decided to check it out.

When we were at the shop, the shop owner was there to help us and answer all our questions. He packed the bike for us (see picture) and we were able to check-in the box as a non-regular baggage (no excess baggage fee since the bike weigh only about 12kg). I have the bike for almost 2 weeks now, and I love it. You can see from my pictures that it is still in good shape, and I have been riding it.

I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for bikes. They are able to provide all kinds of assistance and they have a good selection of high quality bikes too. I am a happy customer :).

Was checking on Google for info on folding bikes in Singapore. Chance upon Thornton Bikes, it seems impressive and decided to check them out.

Guess what, I ended buying 2 Thornton Comet series bikes instead of just checking them out, barely an hour to their closing time. I concluded that their products range well deserving for price paid. Customer service and product knowledge and advice are also very good indeed! After sales service and warranty coverage also above par.

Wow. What an experience! I was looking for a bike for my son aged 7. It was stocked out and I wanted it desparately on his Birthday. Roger helped me to bring the bike well in time. My son is so happy with his new bike Thornton Triton.

And surprise, surprise. When we went to collect the bike, there was a birthday cake in waiting. I think we have found a good friend besides the bicycle.

Friendly & helpful above and beyond...

Go2thornton is a top-notch bike shop in every respect. They have a selection of high-quality bikes, clothing, accessories and gear. Mr Roger is very knowledgeable about his products and the industry and his mechanic Mr Nick is the best in diagnosing and treating anything that may be ailing your bike.

However, the aspect that I love the most about Go2thornton is that top customer service is their #1 priority and it shows. I shared with Mr Roger my medical condition and he adviced what type of foldable bicycle is best and allowed me to try on it. He also gave free accessories & further discount. Kudos to Mr Roger & Mr Nick who always go above and beyond to deliver the product, information or services a customer needs. On top of it all, the Go2thornton is a friendly, personable, never tried to oversell and all-around nice people so it's always a pleasure to walk in there.

Shopping for a kid bicycle and found one folding bike Thornton Triton that matches my needs. Having little knowledge on bicycles is no issue at this shop. The owner Roger and staff (Arthur, hopefully I got the name right..) are super helpful in answering the questions and letting my daughter try out the bicycle various times before we decide to purchase the folding bicycle. Also patiently showing how to fold the bicycle and answering long list of questions, No hard sell tactics in my entire experience here.

As Thornton Bikes is located near my residence, decided to drop by in my search for a foldable bicycle. As convenient as the location, there is a lean but well thought out selection of bi and trifold bikes to consider, and helpful and enthusiastic service by the friendly staff, which helped me decide on my purchase without much deliberation, on my return visit after dropping by some other bike stores for comparison.

Got a Thornton Cielo which is part of their own line of customised bikes. It has serviced me well so far and I’m happy with the purchase. Due to my amateur riding habits, I feel that my first accident is looming in the near horizon, but if it were to happen, I’ll be glad to go through the ordeal with my trusty Thornton, especially with the comprehensive after-sales warranty/servicing plan provided!

Got two bikes today. Yippee.. service was great. We were served by this gentlemanly uncle. Not pushy. Being noobs, we had some questions. All were answered patiently. Allowed to try out the bikes first. And taught how to fold/unfold the trifold bikes. During payment, we were charged full prices (though accessories got 20% discount). It is worth our trip down to Queensway to replace my flat tyre. We were served by the shop owner and the staff (Mr. Irwan) and both were very professional and helpful.

We are very grateful to Mr. Irwan and he did a great job to replace our tyre and tube, adjust position of our Cateye and pump air for our 4 tyre.

Also, we are very thankful to the shop owner (We did not catch his name). He was super friendly and all of our questions about bike was nicely explained by him. We also witnessed that he was overwhelmed by some customers but he still managed to serve them with patience.

Very friendly, helpful and patient service. Came to select a foldable bike for my partner who wanted to start cycling after long break. They were kind enough to let us do a test ride right there (despite limited space) and even gave advices on how to start pedaling without losing balance. After we selected our bike, patiently helped us choose accessories (different saddle, pump, front/back lights) and then got the bike tuned and ready in 15 minutes even though it was already closing time so we got to take the bike home on same day.

Been using it for more than a month now and bike works very well: pedaling is easy and smooth, brakes work well, gear change is smooth.

Overall great experience and highly recommend this place.

Bought a Thornton Cielo 9 gear today.

Was contemplating whether to get Pikes or 3sixty but decided to get the Thornton. The deciding factor for me was the gear system. It is 'idiot' proof. For an amateur cyclist like me, this is great as I don't have to think which hand to shift the gear and just concentrate on riding and enjoying the view. I took the bike out for a ride from Queensway to the Esplanade and back, total around 14 km and I enjoyed it. Also the salesperson whom I think is the boss, Roger was also very helpful and patient to explain all my queries and made recommendations to what I would need without hard selling.

Overall a great experience so far.
